To say I’ve been ‘lucky’ enough to know and work with Ava, for several years, would be a huge understatement. It’s been a blessing and a privilege to witness Ava’s growth as both a player, and as a person – as well as seeing all the great things she continues to achieve. Focusing on her footballing journey, since knowing Ava, she has always played up an age group – whilst being integral part of all high-achieving teams and setups that she’s represented. Particularly, with Epsom & Ewell Colts, Ava was an outstanding/leading member of all that the team achieved, including; Top 3 finishes in the Junior Premier League, winning international tournaments, a top 2 finish within their first season in Women’s football as well as several domestic honours at Youth Development Phase level (between the age of 12-16). On top Ava’s accomplishments, with Epsom & Ewell Colts Girls U18s, she was able to balance this whilst representing Surrey County Girls, for many years (again whilst, continually, playing up an age group). What’s been so impressive about Ava’s achievements, within football, is that she’s managed to balance such commitments, whilst maintaining brilliant grades in school – so much so, that she’s won an award, in her final year of secondary school, for brilliant academic performance. Whichever University lands Ava’s signature, you’ve got a person and player who is; extremely likable (very popular and well-liked in her local community), articulate, driven, consistent and a highly talented footballer. I have no doubt whatsoever that Ava will prove to be a shining light and fantastic ambassador, for whichever institute is lucky enough to have her.
— Ayulie Dabor - AFC Wimbledon Boys Academy Scout, Surrey Schools U12s Coach and Epsom & Ewell Colts Girls U18s Coach
Ava joined QPR Women’s Development team in the summer before the 2024/25 season began, after being successful following the club’s pre-season trial process. Since joining she has predominantly played as our CAM (number 10), and has had a brilliant impact in our games with her direct dribbling and creative movement & passing. Ava has always been a pleasure to coach, as she is very keen to learn & develop as a player, and is committed to her development by improving her tactical knowledge, her understanding of the game, her positional awareness, and her technical ability. She always applies herself correctly with the right attitude and desire to learn, in both training sessions & on matchdays, and she also has a brilliant personality which makes her popular within our squad.
— Dillon Clark - QPR Development Team Coach
