Freya Sherwood
Current Club
Bristol City
Right Midfield
She is a wide-forward player who is comfortable playing in a wing-back position. She is strong offensively, using her speed and fast footwork to run past and dribble around players, and committed in defence, pressing the opposition to disrupt play higher up the pitch and tracking back to defend. She has a relentless work rate frequently covering the most ground and getting the most touches in many games. She is right-footed but with a powerful left foot. She usually plays on the right but is also comfortable on the left of the pitch, where she places well-positioned crosses or will cut in and score goals. She frequently ends the season with the highest number of assists in the team and with several goals to her name. She is a great team player, committed to improving her game and learns quickly from her coaches

“A dominant 1v1 player both in attack and defence. Freya has shown she has the skill set to play both as an attacking threat in the final third, as well as being a reliable defender to prevent the opposition from scoring. Freya has consistently displayed a thirst for individual development via video feedback sessions, her commitment to individual physical development plans and through her out of session work on technical skills.”
“Freya is a hard working individual who brings quality to the team both in and out of possession. She has a range of excellent physical attributes alongside a great technical skillset. Away from the pitch Freya is a proactive member of the squad who interacts well and forms strong bonds with both her teammates and coaches.”
