I have known Harry in a professional capacity for the last 11 years, coaching him during group sessions and more recently, in one-to-one sessions. Harry’s enthusiastic approach and desire to learn is infectious. Harry is extremely coachable and learns very quickly, taking onboard feedback well. Harry is a technically proficient goalkeeper and is competent in his knowledge and application of these techniques in appropriate situations. Harry regularly demonstrates his in-depth knowledge by self-diagnosing his technique when minor mistakes occur and is able to coach himself back to the correct technique. Harry has a good working knowledge of when and how to apply techniques to good effect and is an effective shot stopper and confident player. Harry is very driven in his pursuit to be the best version of himself and takes accountability for his personal development, identifying his areas for development and recognising his strengths and utilises these well in match scenarios. Harry will be an asset to any program or team he is involved i
— Dean Goodwin/Arsenal Women Academy Goalkeeper Coach
I have been the manager of a youth football team for the past 12 years, during my time at Stevenage Borough Juniors managing the Under 15s and Letchworth Garden City Eagles managing the Under 16s, we had the pleasure of having Harry Pattrick as our goalkeeper during these two seasons. As a team we are very selective with the type of player we recruit, both in character and ability to be included as part of the team, Harry as well as being a fantastic goalkeeper is a really fun and likeable lad, his team mates and the management really enjoyed his company and his presence on the pitch. Harry has always been coached as a goalkeeper which really shows as he has great positional sense, very safe handling skills, a superb shot stopper and fantastic footwork with great kicking and throwing distribution. This all helped us to achieve the accolade of winning the national finals with our team in 2021 of which Harry was a huge part in this success. Harry’s attitude to his game and training is exemplary, always early and very keen to train at every session and also assisting his own progression with one-to-one GK coaching sessions. His personality shone in games, he lead the team from the back, helping players on the pitch by communicating and encouraging them throughout the game. Harry always gave 100% in everything he did. Did he ever make mistakes, yes, not many, but one of the things that impressed me the most about Harry was the way he would own his mistake and go and work on whatever went wrong to make sure it didn’t happen again. A great player for any coach to have in their squad
