Centre Midfield

A dynamic centre midfielder renowned for his exceptional pace. Utilising his speed, he capitalises on opposition mistakes and transitions quickly from defence to attack. He effectively moves up the field with composure in short passing sequences, maintaining possession and control. This ability to navigate through tight spaces and progress the ball creates numerous chances for forward players to score. Additionally, he demonstrates excellent vision and awareness, consistently making intelligent runs and positioning himself strategically to support both defensive and attacking plays. His strength allows him to shield the ball effectively and win physical battles in midfield.

Haydn was a monumental member of the squad, who finished champions and unbeaten in the League. Haydn was a valuable member of the squad who took instructions and acted upon them. He was also well respected by his team mates too. Haydn was a team player and very respected member of the football team. Haydn would play in different positions for Waltham Abbey and adapted well to change. Haydn was a joy to coach for the last season of youth football. The only weakness I can think of is Haydn needs to believe in his abilities as he is an extremely talented footballer.
— Billy Closier
As Haydn’s mentor, I had the privilege of guiding him through the refereeing course and supporting him in his early career. Since qualifying, Haydn has demonstrated a consistently high standard of performance. He has undergone three formal observations, achieving commendable scores, with marks averaging 70-80 out of 100. These scores reflect his dedication, skill, and professionalism in the field. Haydn’s commitment to his role as a referee and his continuous pursuit of excellence make him an outstanding candidate for the scholarship. He has not only applied the knowledge and skills acquired during his training but has also shown great potential for further development. I have no doubt that Haydn will continue to excel in his academic and professional endeavors, and I strongly recommend him for this scholarship opportunity..
