right BACK

A quick right sided fullback who also likes to get up the pitch and cross the ball into the box or have a shot. Renowned for his pace. Utilising his speed and reading of the game allows him to excel in defensive positions and also recovery runs when needed. Jake is composed on the ball, allowing him to keep calm under pressure and play out from the back. In the attacking phase, he shows quality crosses into the box for the strikers to attack from overlapping or underlapping the winger. Also, he is a very vocal player who encourages players and can get the team going when needed.

Jake has shown great maturity during his time working within the Exeter city FC Advanced Development Centre set up. Happy to assist others, learning and absorbing from different leadership qualities, he then has progressed into being confident, leading group sessions. He has a positive and enthusiastic approach to his learning and engages well with the players he works with. Very reliable and trustworthy to be left to deliver sessions without too much additional guidance. I would recommend Jake to take his initial journey further within an academy set up.

Jake has had a great impact on the organisation volunteering his time on many occasions during multiple holiday camps, sessions and events. As a small team, without Jake’s help, the Trust would struggle to staff most of these core events and therefore we are very grateful for his help. Jake has been rewarded for with paid opportunities with the Trust and we have put him on his FA Introduciton to Football Coaching badge which will improve his coaching CV and help him take his career further. Jake’s positive, can do attitude when coaching at our sessions deserves to be noticed and rewarded as well as his great communication and coaching. He is punctual, helpful and reliable and an asset to any sports organisation.
