A combative goalkeeper is willing to put her body on the line when needed. She is just as comfortable with reactive saves on the line as she is coming out and clearing the ball from the striker’s feet. She has a good footballing brain which allows her to read the game, enabling quick decision-making and good positional awareness. She continually desires to learn, taking the coach’s advice on board and putting it into practice in the field.
