Sian is a vocal presence on the field, commanding her team from back to front. She is well-organised and quick to set up, ensuring the team is ready. Whether it’s a close-range shot or a rocket from a distance, she uses her quick footwork and agility to make crucial saves. Sian is composed under pressure – from receiving a back pass to dealing with a high ball, she makes smart decisions to maintain control. The outfield players trust her implicitly and they will confidently pass the ball back, knowing she will distribute intelligently. She reads the game well, assessing situations quickly and anticipating opponent’s actions. This allows her to position herself effectively to intercept crosses, through balls and shots. Quickly recognising under-loads and overloads Sian can then use her precise distribution to start her team on a counterattack. When attacking, Sian leads from the back with a high, confident starting position to keep the game in her opponent’s half whilst remaining an open passing option for her teammates to utilise.
