We are thrilled to announce that the Soccer Assist Academy is now able to offer their first class football programme to aspiring footballers around the world!

After receiving a number of enquiries from international students, the Academy believed that now was the perfect time to turn the dream into a reality. International students have long shown an interest in developing their game before earning scholarships in the USA or taking their next step into professional football.

The Soccer Assist Academy provides a full time football development programme for talented student athletes aged 15-21, allowing them to excel on the pitch and in the classroom. They focus on developing talent and prioritise instilling the right habits to achieve top performances.

With a new education partner in place, this expansion allows the Academy to cater to a wider range of students from around the world. Players can currently choose from 3 different courses;

  • BTEC Level 3 in Sport (2 years)
  • English Language
  • Football Only

The new international programme presents a unique opportunity to players who are serious about their development and want to experience playing full time in a competitive environment. There are options for prospective players to choose from, including a home-stay which includes meals or a self boarding option.

There are also offerings of different lengths of courses, players who are interested in the football only or football and English programme can choose between short courses (1 week) or long-term courses for up to 6 months.

Last year they tested the concept with two international students joining from Nigeria. Both have completed their BTEC Level 3 in Sport with one now on trial at a Non-League first team football club.

Soccer Assist Recruitment Director, Tyrelle McLeod-Bentley had to say;

“This is a natural step for us considering the space we operate in. Through our scholarship agency we have helped players from all over the world secure scholarships, so it only made sense to offer a development programme for these players, to make sure they’re ready for their next challenge. We are now actively forging partnerships, so we encourage international academies and players to get in touch with us to see how we can help”.
