“Charlotte Fairy is an exciting player who operates as an attaching wide midfielder, winger or striker and been an ever present the past few years for Tunbridge Wells Foresters playing for both our 1st XI (step 7 of the English pyramid) and our 2nd XI. She is a fast intelligent player technically aware of any tactical plan and reads the game well with her explosive runs. Major strengths are from dead ball situations scoring many goals from free kicks, finding space with defence splitting runs from midfield. Before joining our club Charlotte started playing football whilst at school and was asked to trial for Chalton Athletic FA aged 14 which was a major achievement being recognised with limited playing experience at the time. She then played for Crowborough Athletic FC for one season aged 14 before joining us at U15 playing in Division 1 of the Kent Girls & Ladies football league. I watched Charlotte a few times and when she had turned 16 asking her to join a few of our senior training sessions and was so impressed with talent and attitude giving her debut in the woman’s game aged still only16. She adapted well to the faster pace & physicality playing in Division 1 of the South East Counties Women Football League scoring 12 goals in League & Cup games in the 2023/24 season also playing for our 1st team in the Premier Division. Charlotte is an exciting player, who listens and learns quickly has amazing pace and a powerful shot and adored by the whole squad as a true team player and been an ever present this season. Physically strong, but equally has a great temperament and also an intelligent woman whose input at team meetings is very welcome. I believe she could step up and play at a higher level as would be a major signing and asset to any team either at club or university and been a pleasure managing & coaching her the past couple of seasons. I personally wish her all the success going forward and excited to see how far she will develop as a player.”
“Work Ethic:
At college, Charlotte displayed a strong work ethic by achieving a Distinction grade overall during the two-year NCFE level 3 sport course while balancing part time work externally. She remained punctual and dedicated to completing assignments on time to the best of her ability.
Playing Ability:
During practical based sessions, Charlotte demonstrated some good technical ability on the ball. She was able to be a key member of a mixed ability group and often took the lead when others were not able to in difficult situations.
Teamwork:
Charlotte excelled in team settings, both in sports and college projects. She can collaborate with others effectively, communicate clearly and support others when needed. Charlotte assures others that they can successfully complete the task and helps others to improve their skills.
Motivation:
Charlotte demonstrated high levels of motivation throughout college whether it was completing coursework and training for sports, she approached every task with enthusiasm. Her drive to succeed inspired the rest of the group and contributed to a motivating environment.”
